Standing on Their Shoulders: Dangerous Women of WILPF May 17 WILPF meeting

We will celebrate the history of WILPF and the strong women who have worked together for Peace in the world for 104 years. We'll talk about the history of the Women’s Peace Party and its daughter, the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. Women’s International League for Peace & Freedom has been working continuously since our founding in 1915 (or 1919 depending on how you reckon it) to link the issues of war, conflict and violence to women’s rights and economic justice.   They are all connected.

After a bit of early history we’ll share the face and successes of women around the United States who have contributed to WILPF’s work for Peace. And we’ll share about our four local Bay Area Branches and invite you to join our work for peace.

This is a birthday party so come for cake! Celebrate 104 years of WILPF women showing up for peace and justice since 1915.

Raging Grannies open the meeting. Come early!
